The past seven days (and surely the next couple of months) have been absolutely dominated by Marvel. I am so, so pleased that we have already been given another trailer for what looks to be an absolutely monumental feat of filmmaking. In all honesty, I would've expected this trailer to be what some call the 'bang' trailer: packed with action, epic moments and shocking revelations. And, as a fan, that is what I wanted... but what we've been given is so much better.
The most exciting thing about this trailer is what's not there. There is very minimal action, showing that whatever the Russo Brothers have in store for us is being kept very close to the vest, ensuring that the first time we experience it will be on the big screen on April 25. I do believe - and this isn't just me being optimistic - that this will be an awe-inspiring and utterly stupendous cinematic occasion with absolutely incredible moments that audiences will never forget.
I have plenty of very specific theories and analysis which I could comment on, but these don't differ with the rest of the internet, but all in all I don't think I - or even the world as a whole - has ever anticipated an event film more than Avengers: Endgame, and my excitement levels are completely off the charts.
Also, this may be one of the best posters I've ever seen. The vibrancy, grandeur and gravitas of it gives me chills and it's hard for me to put into words how excited I am to witness this all come to fruition at the end of April.
I don't want to jinx anything, but it's going to be the best.
