Warner Bros. Has Found It's New BATMAN

The long-awaited announcement has finally happened.
It was recently announced that Robert Pattinson is in final negotiations to take on the role of the Dark Knight for Matt Reeves The Batman, due for release in 2021, and I am thrilled.

The only people who have the grounds to express any disappointment in this casting are those who have seen a range of Robert Pattinson's acting work beyond the decade-old Twilight saga, where Pattinson delivers raw and skilled performances. Combined with him as the lead in Christopher Nolan's much anticipated next film, now officially titled Tenet, it seems like Pattinson is ready to re-invent his career and step back into the public spotlight after years of keeping a low profile.

I am very excited to see what he is going to do with this role - his performance style is gritty and intense, and I have a feeling I know that he will be able to pull it off. My top pick for a new Bruce Wayne was Jake Gyllenhaal, but Robert Pattinson feels like a very, very worthy substitute, and was in fact my second choice - I can imagine Pattinson pulling off a lot of Gyllenhaal's roles, so I doubt this will be an exception.
