Paramount Acquires ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’

Its been a long six years since the work of Scorsese and DiCaprio was put on screen, but a triumphant return is on the horizon.

Killers Of The Flower Moon will mark the sixth collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Killers Of The Flower Moon has been in development for a few years, and there were once rumours that production would begin in the Summer of 2019. Since we are currently in Summer and Scorsese is likely still in post-production for The Irishman, it doesn't seem likely that that is attainable. However, while beforehand, production was just a rumour, it is now a guarantee, as Paramount Pictures (also distributors of The Wolf Of Wall Street and Shutter Island, Scorsese and DiCaprio's most recent collaborations), has finally acquired the project, where they will finance and distribute it.

Based on the book by David Grann, Killers Of The Flower Moon is 'about the mysterious murders of the Osage Indian tribe in Oklahoma in the 1920s, where oil sat rich beneath their land. The case was turned over to a brand new law enforcement agency known as the FBI, which fought against the corruption to solve the case.'

It is exciting that we can finally anticipate a new Scorsese/DiCaprio collaboration without the possibility that it may never happen. It's been too long. The dynamic duo both are returning to the big screen after three or four years, with DiCaprio starring in Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and Scorsese helming The Irishman, which marks the reunion of his working relationship with Robert DeNiro. Two incredibly exciting projects on the horizon, both due out later this year. I don't think we will be seeing another break from either of these any time soon.
