Snub: On reflection, I am sad that Avengers: Endgame didn't get a nomination. When I think about the impact it had and how it represents a revolution in Blockbuster filmmaking from the past ten years. It is an incredible feat and I do think that the Academy should have honoured it for giving audiences a reason to see these films on the big screen, and keeping the industry alive.

Should Win: This year is so strong for Supporting Actresses. I haven't seen Richard Jewell, so Kathy Bates is not included in this, but I would be thrilled if literally any of these nominees took this one home. Margot Robbie steals the show in Bombshell, Florence Pugh steals most of the show in Little Women and Scarlett Johansson is mesmerising as the heart and soul of Jojo Rabbit. It is too early in Pugh's career for a win. It is the right time in Robbie's but I would want her to win for something more Margot. A true leading role. Her time will come very soon. I am praying for Johansson to win at least one award this year, so I am just rooting for her across the board, regardless of the role... both of which she would be deserving. But, Laura Dern has been doing this for so long and she steals every single scene in Marriage Story, and what a year she has had overall. This is Laura Dern's award.
